  'But I have another secret,' said Lyme. He looked at Dr Simple. He looked at Professor Verity.

  'Another secret?' cried Dr Simple. 'Tell me. Tell me. Tell me the truth!'

  'My secret is this,' said Harville Lyme. 'I never tell the truth. I always tell lies.' He smiled. (P24, L10)

I thought truth is very important but sometimes it is better not to reveal the secret. Lie is lubricant for relationships among people.
